# Auto-Publishing & Media

> Seamless delivery to WordPress.

WP AutoFlow publishes content using the official WordPress REST API, eliminating the need to install bridge plugins on your target sites.

## Authentication

To connect your WordPress site, you must use an **Application Password** (not your regular admin password).

1. Go to your WordPress Dashboard.
2. Navigate to Users > Profile.
3. Scroll down to "Application Passwords" and generate a new one.

## Smart Media Handling

By default, hotlinking images is bad for SEO and risks broken images if the source site deletes them. WP AutoFlow solves this:

1. **Extraction:** It detects the featured image from the source article.
2. **Download:** It downloads the image to your AutoFlow server memory.
3. **Watermarking (Optional):** Applies a transparent PNG watermark over the image.
4. **Upload:** Uploads the newly minted image directly into your WordPress Media Library and sets it as the Featured Image.
